E-learning is a general term used to refer to technology-enhanced learning. While it is an easy, and recognizable term, it may not be the most appropriate description as it creates a false dichotomy ("e-learning" and "learning"). Pretty much all learning has some level of "e" in it. In addition, we use technology to enhance our work and we don't call it "e-work". We also don't label other types of learning (for example we don't call reading a book "b-learning"). Therefore because e Learning is a term that people recognize, it will be used on this section of the site, along with more descriptive terms.
